Held in Newcastle and Leeds, the workshops hosted over 60 I.T professionals and previewed VMware’s latest products, including vSphere 5, Site Recovery Manager 5 and vCentre Operations Management. These milestone products are essential tools for any organisation looking to integrate virtualisation technologies into their business.

As one of VMware’s key technology partners, Knowledge I.T had access to pre-release versions of the new software and the workshops were able to utilise this by giving attendees a hotly anticipated preview of the latest technological developments. The workshops had particular focus on the functional and strategic business benefits of VMware’s products – making them an essential part of any virtualisation strategy.

Managing Director of Knowledge I.T, George Sanger hosted the workshops with Matt Molloy - VMware Partner Business Manager, Matt Steiner - Senior Systems Engineer at VMware and Steve Tron - Knowledge I.T’s Technical Director.

Sanger said “We knew that by delivering these workshops to our industry colleagues, we would be able to offer them a really practical and early insight into the latest offerings from the manufacturer. This will enable them to develop their migration strategy to VSphere 5 and deploy the technology in their own business. The positive feedback has been simply unbelievable.”

“We have now had to schedule follow up workshops for January 2012 and are opening up our doors for one-to-one briefing sessions with those who do not want to wait. Anyone that wants to find out more about these ground breaking products can come straight to us. We are also looking at how we can further develop the workshop programme over the course of 2012 particularly around Virtual Desktop, Cloud Computing and Disaster Recovery”

“Being able to support our colleagues, peers and clients in this exciting way is really satisfying for all the team here at Knowledge and we are really going the extra mile to deliver added value.”

Celebrating 30 years in information technology provision, Knowledge I.T has more than 70 employees working across four sites in Newcastle and Leeds and the business is quickly becoming known as a thought leader within the ICT world.
