Often described as delivering desktop computing via a data centre, VDI delivers business benefit by simplifying network management and increasing data security. It also allows device independence, increases worker productivity, is more environmentally friendly due to lower carbon emissions and can reduce the total cost of desktop ownership by up to 50%.
These workshops will detail the migration from a traditional network set-up to VDI deployment in 7 simple steps, a project often fraught with complications.
Knowledge I.T Technical Director Steve Tron explains:
“The step-by-step guide was devised by the Virtualisation Team at Knowledge I.T and what we plan to do is share our own experiences of moving from one platform to another, and of course, the benefits of this exciting technology”.
The workshops will be hosted in conjunction with Virtualisation specialist VMware, with whom Knowledge is an accredited partner.
