New Year Technology Workshops from Knowledge I.T

Following on from a series of successful technology workshops in 2011, top North East ICT provider Knowledge I.T will begin a new program in 2012 with a workshop on VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) in February at St. James Park, Newcastle & Thorpe Park Hotel, Leeds.

Often described as delivering desktop computing via a data centre, VDI delivers business benefit by simplifying network management and increasing data security. It also allows device independence, increases worker productivity, is more environmentally friendly due to lower carbon emissions and can reduce the total cost of desktop ownership by up to 50%.

These workshops will detail the migration from a traditional network set-up to VDI deployment in 7 simple steps, a project often fraught with complications.
